Founder's Diary #3 - LionHearted

Founder's Diary #3 - LionHearted

Once I had a name for my brand, it felt like an enormous weight off of my shoulders. The next step was deciding what I wanted my logo to be. Around that time, I had recently gotten a lion tattoo on the left side of my chest. It was my first tattoo, so it was very significant for me. I envision strength, courage, and royalty when I think of a lion. These are characteristics I heavily identify with, so when it was time to put that needle to my chest, I knew if I even shed one baby tear, I would forever be a disgrace to my tattoo. I chose to get the ink on my left side because that's closest to my heart, and the nature of a lion is brave and determined. *side note* when my tat man got to my sternum, it legit felt like he was giving me a neck tattoo, and I didn't question it at all; I thugged it out.

It was a no-brainer for the Veii logo to be a lion. I visualized leaders when I would think about who I wanted to create Veii for. I view people who go with the flow and never step outside their comfort zone as sheep. Sheep are fickle and look to others for direction and assurance. I have always been an outlier my whole life and never conformed even when it was probably in my best interest to do so. This stubbornness has allowed me to withstand life's challenges and persevere through adversity.

Some might say that it's just clothing at the end of the day, but in reality, it's much more. Veii is a community of individuals who strive to be the difference in everything they do. We are a company that uplifts each other and works together to make an impact in our communities and the world. When people see me, they know I am the Alpha and the leader. The brand upholds that same standard. Veii is not a cool kids club nor a brand for everybody. When you put on these clothes, you are committing to chasing the best version of yourself, bringing the best out of all those around you.
